What that means is for the last ten years, everybody when they throw something away after breakfast has put more into the landfill than we do as a company.” Denise Coogan, Manager Safety & Environmental Compliance: “Right now we are standing near the heritage area. If it doesn’t leave as a finished car, we send the material offsite for recycling. So, anything from our cafeteria waste, plastics, steel -- waste is just a material that hasn’t found its use.” Tom Easterday: “For a long time, the Midwest has had the image of being the rustbelt. I hope someday we can become the greenbelt. We are a modern technologically advanced plant. Being a good environmental steward is just one more step in that journey.
